Compensation: $4600 per month

What You'll Do:
As the Director of Fund Development and Communications, you will play a key role in shaping the future of NOYFSS by crafting and executing comprehensive fundraising, marketing, and communication strategies. You will work closely with our excluded management team, community partners, and staff to create opportunities that bring our vision to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fundraising & Marketing Leadership: Drive the development and execution of fundraising strategies, marketing campaigns, and promotional initiatives that increase visibility and support for NOYFSS programs
- Community Engagement: Cultivate meaningful relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders while actively seeking out new opportunities for sponsorships and community partnerships
- Event Planning & Management: Lead the planning and execution of fundraising events and initiatives, ensuring they stay within budget and align with NOYFSS’s values. You’ll be the mastermind behind exciting events that connect people to our mission
- Media & Digital Presence: Manage NOYFSS’s social media and website, using creative content to promote events, share success stories, and raise awareness. You'll ensure our community knows how we're making a difference and how they can get involved
- Grant Writing & Reporting: Secure funding through grants, sponsorships, and donations. Track progress and ensure all reports and documentation meet compliance requirements
- Donor Relations: Foster and maintain strong relationships with our donor community, ensuring that every contribution is acknowledged and appreciated
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff, including the excluded management team to ensure that we’re operating efficiently and meeting all necessary guidelines and regulations

Key Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
A post-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing, Fundraising, Business Management, or a related field. You have demonstrated success in fundraising, event planning, and marketing, with a strong background in managing relationships and securing financial support
- Communication Skills:
You are a clear communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to inspire and engage a variety of stakeholders—from donors to community partners
- Digital Savvy:
Familiarity with social media platforms and website management, with an eye for creating engaging content that captures attention and drives action
- Community Knowledge:
You understand the local community and the importance of building partnerships that are beneficial to all
- A Team Player:
You’re able to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and engage with people at all levels of an organization, while staying focused on the larger mission.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
- Successful completion of a criminal record check
- Naloxone, FOIPPA Foundations, and Mandt Certifications
- A passion for our mission and a commitment to ethical, professional conduct
