Welcome to Raising Stars Preschool?, where learning, comfort, and connection come together.

Raising Stars Preschool warmly welcomes children ages 30 months to 5 years*. We are a fully inclusive centre that embraces children from all religious backgrounds, family histories, abilities, and unique needs.

Located in a charming converted home, our preschool provides a cozy, nurturing environment—a true home away from home where your child feels safe, comfortable, and inspired to learn.

We are proud to be internationally accredited and recognized with multiple professionally judged awards for our commitment to exceptional early childhood education. As an accredited Hygge in Early Years Centre, we cultivate a calm, joyful atmosphere grounded in comfort, connection, and respect.

Guided by developmentally appropriate practice, the Reggio Emilia approach, and the BC Early Learning Framework, our educators create learning experiences that honor each child’s interests and natural curiosity. Projects often grow over days, weeks, or even months, offering children opportunities for deep exploration through hands-on learning, outdoor adventures, and real-world experiences—never worksheets.

Families can choose between flexible Early Childhood Education options, all of which include full participation in our enriched Preschool program:

Preschool-Only Program: Pick-up at 12:30 pm

Preschool + Childcare Program: Flexible pick-up between 12:30 pm and 6:00 pm

At Raising Stars?, we believe children thrive in small, supportive environments. That’s why we maintain low teacher-to-child ratios—1:5 during preschool hours and 1:6 during childcare hours—and keep our class sizes intentionally small: just 10 children in preschool and 8 in childcare. This ensures every child receives the attention, guidance, and meaningful interactions they deserve.

Children remain with the same class and educators throughout the year, building consistency, trust, and strong relationships. This continuity fosters a true sense of community where children feel secure to explore, develop routines, and form lasting friendships.
